You know what I don’t get?  When fanfic authors apologize for long chapters.  It’s like?  You gave me bonus content, for free, and you’re sorry about it?  Bruh.  I have already named my firstborn after you.  Dude.

You know what else I don’t get?  When they apologize for short updates.  It’s like: look at these new words I gave you!  Sorry I didn’t give you even more free words.  Bro, that’s at least two words that I did not have yesterday.  For free.  Dude.  Thank you.

And another thing: when people drop out of nowhere with a surprise update and then apologize for it taking a while.  Like, dude, I wasn’t expecting anything, and you gave me words.  I thought this fic was abandoned, but wait: there’s more.  You just popped in and reminded me that this is a Good Fic that I should probably reread.  You made my goshdarn day.

Basically fanfic writers are under no obligation to publish anything so when they do update it’s always a net positive because the story is longer now, and I have something to read, so thank you so much to everyone who writes fic at whatever pace or quantity they want.

Explain to me how I can BOTH agree wholeheartedly with this a a reader…

So what I’ve gathered from the IDW comics (mostly just MTMTE/LL)  and the offical Transformers Wiki, are the approximated ages of some of the transformers.

Mind you, Cybertron has only been around for 5 billion years, and proper Cybertronian life has only been around for 12 million years. The only bots older than that are probably only Rung (Primus), the guiding hand, and the original 13 primes.

The wiki actually confirms some of the ages, so the ones that don’t say ‘Approx.’ or “About’ are the ones that were guessed or vague on the wiki.

Ratchet – Approx. 6.5 to 6.8 million years old. He’s pretty young when he met Drift, who is a bit younger than him. They meet before the war, which was about a few thousand years before it had started.

Drift – Approx. 6.4 to 6.7 million years old. Read above.

Tailgate – 6 million years. He was forged 2 weeks before the launch of the Ark before he was trapped underground for 6 millions years, to be resurfaced before the Lost Light takes off.

Cyclonus – Approx. 8 million years. He’s old as balls and the wiki says he was forged in the years before Cybertron’s golden age.

Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime – 4.2 million years

The original Ultra Magnus – Fuck if I know, the wiki says he fought along side Orion Pax in the early days of the war. Nobody knows how he died but Tyrest decided to be a creepy bitch and make him immortal by using his corpse as armor and giving it to aspiring Gundam fans.

Minimus Ambus – Probably balls old too. Not even the wiki knows how old he is. An aspiring Gundum fan. Can’t smile but also can smile.
