ask-eclipsemtmte-stuff:
How
How do you guys draw transformers
hOW?!
I just wanna draw robots fucking (#shameless)
Please
Tell me thy secrets
Ok, ok, I dunno how other artists do it, but I’ll tell you how I do it:
– Firstly, I find the tutorials (mostly on the Pinterest Inet -resource, there are a lot of them) for the image of the human body, body parts, poses, emotions (this is important, perhaps more important than anything else). Then I look for tutorials for drawing robots – their bodies, hands, joints and everything else.
– Secondly, I take my sketch book, sit down in front of the monitor and make a rough draft.
-Thirdly, I kind of impose robot’s armor on human bodies. Only it is necessary to take into account that the shoulders and hands of cybertronians are much wider than in humans, and the helmet is part of the head, like people’s hair.
– Fourth – Emotions. It’s best to transmit them with the eyes, drawing the pupil (slightly, barely noticeable, because in comics artists often don’t draw in optics this pupil-diaphragm). Then, because the transformers do not have eyebrows, you have to bend helmet over eyes, like bending eyebrows (anger, surprise, pleasure, etc.).
– Well, then, when the basic poses are drawn, there are details in the form of wires, cogs, rivets, glow of neon tracks along the body and of course the same flows of pseudo-sperm – transflue. In the end, I scan the sketch and paint it in digital format. By the way, the transfluid can be purple, pink, violet, neon-blue and even just transparent, but I prefer to draw waste fuel or oil in blue like a machine antifreeze.
– That’s all. I hope I wrote it clearly, because my English is very bad. And most importantly – to love your characters and draw when you feel inspired.
